The mark, printed flat
One red block on the left chest, screen printed straight into the shell. No woven patch, no extra weight, nothing to catch the wind. On a jacket you can see through, it is the only thing that reads from across the street.
Rain sits on top
Water beads on the surface and runs off the taped shoulder seam instead of soaking through. Light enough to pack down into a bag, coated enough to keep a shower off your back and keep moving.
Peckham, in small print
The hem draws in on red cords so the shell holds its shape when the wind picks up. Just above it, in fine white type, 51.4727° N, 0.0667° W. Where this started. You will not spot it across a room, and that is the point.
